Created by J. Evans Payne

A step-by-step guide to converting monsters, NPCs, and adventure content from P1E to Fifth Edition/5E and Pathfinder Second Edition P2E

Latest Updates from Our Project:

Production Update & BackerKit Surveys Coming Soon!
over 4 years ago – Wed, Jan 22, 2020 at 12:36:44 AM

Hi all!  Thank you again for a very successful campaign.  I wanted to provide a brief update of things.

BackerKit Surveys Coming Soon

I've finished setting these up, and have requested BK review.  Should be sending out the surveys themselves later this week; I will do a separate post announcing this for certain.

Many of you have expressed an interest in upgrading your pledge level; rest assured, that will be an option in the BK survey.

Production Update

I've reached a huge milestone, and an important prerequisite for generating the conversion content: I've completed and published Volume 1 of Aquilae: Bestiary of the Realm for Pathfinder Second Edition and 5E.  That's resulted in hundreds of spells, >700 special abilities, and much more being mapped across rules systems, all of which is ready to lay out quickly in the Content Conversion Guide once I finish the Bestiary books.

So, great progress, and I'm actually on schedule to where I thought I'd be (a rare occurrence)!

Funded! Thank you! & What's Next
over 4 years ago – Tue, Jan 07, 2020 at 01:22:04 PM

Thank you all so very much for your support.  I'm thrilled to have counted more than 300 folks among the ranks of those who are excited about this project.

What's Next

I have to wait a full two weeks until Kickstarter processes pledges and finishes their piece.  After that, I will be sending out BackerKit surveys to all backers.

I know a number of you have expressed a desire to upgrade your pledge at that time: rest assured, you will be able to.

Shortly following the completion of those surveys, I'll commence fulfillment for those entitled to ABRE in a published format.

So, hang tight, and once again, thank you so much!

Final 2 Days!
over 4 years ago – Sun, Jan 05, 2020 at 08:16:29 AM

Thank you all so much for your support and interest.  >200 backers is always a huge milestone, and I'm thrilled to see so much confidence in this endeavor.

I'm particularly tickled to see so much OSR/S&W love, and so many folks who plan to retro-convert 5E content to P1E.  As an old-school, BECMI-box nerd who just recently received his hardcopy for backing Old School Essentials, I'm particularly enthused about dipping back into that realm and burgeoning it with 1,600 monsters.  :)

Production Update

As I continue to lay out the Bestiary books for P2E and 5E, I continue to generate the Conversion Guide as a natural consequence of that.  More than 250 spell mappings and 180 creature abilities already mapped, with many hundreds more to come shortly!

Stretch Goal #1, Add-On #1
over 4 years ago – Fri, Jan 03, 2020 at 10:30:46 AM

Happy holidays!

Hi folks!  We're over 100 backers, which is always exciting.  :)  So to celebrate, and based on feedback and requests, we have our first Stretch Goal and Add-On.

Stretch Goal: Cross-Conversion to P1E

By popular demand, some love for Pathfinder First Edition: I'll write a section that describes mapping 5E and Pathfinder Second Edition content back into Pathfinder First Edition.

:)

Add-On: OSRIC/S&W Bestiary

For those interested in the planned OSRIC/S&W/BECMI-style edition of Aquilae: Bestiary of the Realm, I'll be making this available as an Add-On following the campaign.  Figure $15 for this behemoth PDF listing 1,600 monsters.

Wow! What a Great First Day :)
over 4 years ago – Thu, Dec 26, 2019 at 04:12:07 PM

Thanks to the dozens who have already made this campaign a success.  What an incredible first day!

Looks like we have a lot of Pathfinder First Edition fans such as myself; that's great news.  I'll have a think as to how much additional effort it might be to provide mapping descriptions from 5E/P2E back into P1E because it seems there's definitely appetite for that :)
